May Day | Kainoa 2011

Kainoa had his May Day celebration at his school a couple weeks ago. The theme was something about world friendship and his class did a Brazilian dance. I was so disappointed I didn't get one good picture. It was a huge event with the whole school, and I didn't even see him at all among all the kids. But it was a nice celebration and I loved hearing the Hawaii Pono'i state song and the Hawai'i Aloha song. It always gives me chicken skin.

I think this was 3rd grade performing hula.

Since I couldn't see Kainoa, he did his performance for me at home. :)

And this is from last week, he got the Ha'aheo award for Best effort in his class. So proud of him!
