Kainoa's Japanese Performance

Kainoa has been taking Japanese classes for the past 9 months and last night they had their end of semester performance. It was really great to see how much he's learned; his age group did a few songs, bible verses and phrases all in Japanese. He's also learned to write some katakana. He looks really small compared to the other students, but that's because he's the youngest in the age group, and the girls next to him were 8 years old. They've been taking classes since 3 y/o, so I was worried how Kainoa would do starting so late. But he did great and I even cried when I saw him up there and introduce himself.

Isla checking his Yukata while getting ready. He was the only boy in his age group.

Mrs. "O", a sweet and wonderful teacher.

Here's a video of his introduction.
