On the tracks.

I finally got a chance to do Kainoa's 6 year old pictures. They are a week late, but I've been pretty busy this past week. I was lucky that my friend and mentor, Pinky of Pinky Photography, came with to give me tips and advice. She's an amazing wedding and lifestyle photographer and I learned a lot from her yesterday. She's been published in a few magazines and has been to WPPI and lots of other workshops. She's awesome! She showed me how to use some lights and how to work with the sun.

I also took some pictures of him with his ukulele the other day.

And I can't leave Isla out!

There are sooo many pictures I loved that I had to post so many!

These are ALL so great! Are trains that popular with 6yr olds??? I just asked my soon-to-be-6yr-old a few days ago where he wanted to take this years portraits...and he said by the trains! I have yet to ask permission...so he may end up taking them somewhere else. :( And yay for pro-photographers who are willing to lend a hand!

These are so AWESOME!

I love the lighting in the first one, especially with the hat adding some cool shadows.

I must ask, are you taking the Clickin' Moms Natural Light 101 class? I saw a photo like this while looking through the class members post last week.

Just curious.
