Friday Photo Fun- High key me

Well this week I have been playing around with self portraits; low key and high key.  I read somewhere that to be a good photographer you have to be comfortable in front of the camera and it helps with creativity, etc.  So I’m trying to get more into it.  It is hard; running back and forth to check exposure, I couldn’t tell where my focus was, and I hated every picture that came out!  Anyway, this one my eye got chopped off, and it's not sharp, but it’s the only one that I am okay with to blog about.  haha.  Spot metered, no flash just light coming into our living room.  hk (2)

I shared my picture on Click it up a Notch!  Check it out for great photography tips and lessons!

***edited:  eww I regret sharing this now, looking at it again it's a horribly processed picture!

I like this one, it's interesting & creative. The exposure & your pose almost make it look like a year book picture! I mean that in a good way!

he he, that's funny, after I posted it on CIUAN i immediately regretted it, I thought it looked like one of those "yearbook yourself" pictures. oh well, live and learn.

You are too hard on yourself! I actually like the conversion :O) You look so pretty and not in a "yearbook" kind of way! Self portraits are really hard! You must have read my mind because in a couple of weeks I'm going to talk about them on Click it Up a Notch!! One thing is for sure, the more you put yourself in front of the camera the more comfortable you are with how your pictures turn out!!
