Ohana means family

This week I learned that there's nothing better in life than having family around. My sister and her family are visiting from the mainland and it's been so awesome to have them around. The kids love having their cousins around, and Kainoa is especially close to his cousin Makenna. I really hope they move back to the islands soon!

I also learned that every time I try to do a backlit picture with my 50mm I get a blue color cast. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I shared what I learned at Click it up a notch!

What a great moment you captured! Love the haze. I haven't noticed any particular color casts in my backlit photos. . . I'll have to pay more attention to that. I wonder if it has to do with dust on your lens? Do you use any filters that could be reflecting the sun in a strange way? I know backlit photos have a tendency to show any and all lens imperfections. :\

I seriously thought this was you!! I forgot you had a twin!! I'm so happy you were able to spend time with your family!! Whoo hoo!! You can just feel how much she adores Kainoa and he adores her!!! Love all the negative space from the sky!! I don't know why you are getting that blue cast. Does it always happen?? Maybe you need to take your lens in to be looked at?? Weird! You should ask it in CM!
