Banana Lumpia aka Turon

One of my favorite Filipino snacks.

Bananas
Lumpia wrappers or super thin spring roll wrappers
water
oil for frying

Method:

Cut bananas in half. Wrap diaper style in lumpia wrappers. Fry in oil. Done. **optional: add in chocolate chips, nutella or cinnamon sugar to the bananas.

Hmmm...I've never had banana lumpia, but LOVE the regular stuff. I'm also a huge fan of pancit (sp?)...you wouldn't happen to have a good recipe for that, would you? :) We lived in the Philippines for a few years as a child. My memories include banana trees, hot weather, huge monkeys, hot weather, trips to Manilla...did I mention hot weather? Actually, lots of good memories. :)

Mmm...just had to tell you that I made these for breakfast today--- DELICIOUS!
I could only find mini wonton wrappers- so mine our bite sized- but soooo good! (I added Nutella in mine, and made a vanilla dipping sauce for the side) Sounds like a well-rounded breakfast to me!
Thanks for sharing!
