Back to Basics

I've learned that going back to basics has really helped me to appreciate photography in a different way. It makes me think harder about composition, using available light, and experimenting with all the different editing apps out there. It really pushes me to be more creative using a cell phone as a point and shoot. I love the fact that I can edit, watermark and even make collages right on my phone. And even upload them to blogger if I want. I wish I hadn't cut off her arm here. And I totally didn't realize that I was holding the phone upside down. LOL.

Taken on Iphone, edited using the Instagram app, Nashville filter.

I shared what I learned on Click it up a Notch!

Technology! Now I'm going to have to see if I can find a blackberry app that lets me watermark my cell pics.

Gorgeous shot, love the tones, to me it's a bit vintage which I like. I quite like that's it's upside down, adds to the whimsy of the shot.

I think the upside down comp makes it even more fun and spontaneous. Cute one. I wonder what the max size is for an iPhone print?

I agree 100%-- and anyone who says iPhoneography isn't real photography is wrong- it's almost harder because you don't have zoom, aperture, shutter speed, etc- you have to work with what you've got! Last week after the hurricane knocked out our internet, the only way to post my picture of the day was with my iPhone- and ya know what-one would never know the difference!
You definitely need to get those photojojo lenses for your phone- so much fun! And if you don't mind sharing, what app do you use for watermarking?
