Tutu Cute

This week I learned that my babygirl is starting to really get into the "girly stuff". I always thought she'd be a tomboy, but lately I've been noticing her reaching for the tutu's in the closet, twirling and singing, and wanting to put on the angel wings. It makes me giddy with happiness. However she still won't let me pull her hair back and she still wants to get dirty, jump and climb and be a monkey. :)

50mm, ISO 200, f2.8, 1/200. Please critique, thanks! I'm trying not to let the upturned tutu and uncentered watermark bug me. :P

Sweet Shot Day

I just love it!! I love how the window/door is blown out so your focus is solely on Isla! I love your conversion and even the turned up tutu! It is so little girls :O) What a precious moment your captured in such a classic frameable (I think I just made that word up :O) way!! I also, love your black panel!! Wonderful!

WOW, I love this. The upturned Tutu is barely noticable, but now that you mentioned it, I really like it because the photo doesn't look staged because of the imperfection. Beautiful!!

Lovely. I love the white glass & black door. Perfect background. I'm so glad she is beginning her girlie games! When Mimi was born, since she had an older brother, everyone told me she's be my 'princess w kneepads'! Too true.

PS, I just realized that was a panel NOT a door. Duh. I'm nursing a kid - I got distractions!

Love, love, love it!!! I always enjoy photos when the window is blown, then place a sweet little one in front of the window and I LOVE it.

I am not much for critiquing, unless something really pops out at me. And nothing does in your photo!!

Simply lovely Janell.

How perfect! It's a great shot of your daughter turned up tutu and all. I think the focus goes right to where it needs to be...on her!

Oh, I LOVE it!! I have one who is a tomboy and one who is a princess - it sure is a lot of fun photographing the tutus and other dress-up clothes, I have to admit!

Lovely shot! The feel is so innocent and sweet. I love how the wings are slightly tilted and the tutu is pulled up. Perfect imperfections :) I think that I would have loved to see you include her whole body and some of the door frame in order to make the story a little more obvious to the viewer. As is I love where you chose to crop on her legs and the proportion of the frame that the black area takes up. This will be a much loved memory for sure :)

To be honest, I was so drawn in by the composition and the shilouette that I didn't even notice the upturned tutu! Beautiful!

I really can't see anything I'd change. Yes, the tutu could have been fixed & watermark could have been centered but really it's perfect. Btw, I bugs me too when I'm so focused on getting the exposure and composition right that I miss flipping the tutu down. :)

Happy Friday!
