I learned...

This week (today actually), I learned to perform under pressure. I had the opportunity to photograph a promotion ceremony and reception for a Chief Master Sergeant today (the normal photographer couldn't be there.) I didn't think I could do it; I only had a couple hours to mentally prepare myself, it was real last minute. Plus I was super nervous to be around a bunch of colonels and MSGTs and Jamie's supervisors. But I made it through and was really happy I went beyond my comfort zone.

Love how the focus is on his rank and the flowers! Just beautiful, Janell!! Congrats!! Maybe you have a new calling as a promotion ceremony photographer :O)

Janelle ~ you should have nothing to be nervous about, you're a wonderful photographer. Week after week your photos are fabulous. You're a talented young lady. One of my favorite stops of the week.

I love the contrast between the uniform and the lei (is that what it's called?). Very cool.
