4th of July

 

A couple weeks ago, Jamie’s Aunt Cindy came to visit for 4th of July weekend.  She came with her friend Kathy, and we had a fun time showing them some sites around the island.

 

First thing we did was visit the USS Arizona Memorial.

That night we went to Turtle Bay resort to check out their fireworks display.  They had Kapena playing, lots of food booths, and jumping castles for the kids.  Kainoa loved it!

Isla was mesmerized by the fireworks.    

The next couple days were spent driving around the east and north sides of the island.  We visited the Byodo-In Temple, (they filmed the Lost scene where Sun and Jin get married here), Chinaman’s hat, and the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout.
